The population of Birmingham's central Ladywood ward more than doubled from 15k to 32k.
29% of Birmingham's population growth happened in the central three wards of Soho, Ladywood, and Nechells.
There are 40 wards in Birmingham.
Longbridge ward's population grew from 9k to 12k. Most other wards had a population of around 25k in 2003.
